Maurice Olivers

Maurice Olivers is the Public Relations and Communications Director for Brightlands Circular Space in the Netherlands, where he leads international positioning, stakeholder engagement and strategic communications for one of Europe’s leading circular-economy initiatives.

With a background in law from Maastricht University and extensive experience across innovation ecosystems, academia and public-private partnerships, Maurice specializes in connecting government, industry, researchers and entrepreneurs to advance sustainable innovation. Since joining the Brightlands ecosystem in 2014, he has helped strengthen the Brightlands brand and expand its international reach.

Maurice is also an active contributor to the Intelligent Community Forum, speaking and moderating internationally on innovation ecosystems, circular economy and regional collaboration. Brightlands-Limburg is one of ICF’s Top7 Intelligent Communities of 2026.
