Donna Gillespie

Donna Gillespie is the Chief Executive Officer of the Kingston Economic Development Corporation (Kingston Economic Development) and a driving force behind Kingston's emergence as one of Canada's leading innovation and investment destinations. With more than 20 years of experience spanning the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, Donna has led transformative economic development initiatives that have attracted record levels of foreign direct investment, fostered entrepreneurship, and strengthened Kingston's reputation as a global hub for innovation. She also serves as a leader within RXN HUB, advancing chemistry, cleantech, and advanced manufacturing innovation through industry, academic, and government collaboration.

Under Donna's leadership, Kingston has secured landmark investments from global companies, launched internationally recognized initiatives such as the Kingston–Syracuse Pathway, and developed award-winning workforce and innovation programs. Her accomplishments have earned her recognition as one of Consultant Connect's Top 50 North American Economic Developers, the Joseph A. Montgomery Economic Development Achievement Award—Ontario's highest honor in economic development—and Ontario East's Economic Developer of the Year.
