Bob Ferguson

Bob is a social entrepreneur and community leader focused on rural economic development, sustainable agriculture, and regional food systems. As CEO of Applied Intelligence Coaching and Managing Partner of a family health products business (founded 1970), he combines consulting expertise with hands-on community leadership.

ob conceived and coordinated the ten-county Southeast Iowa Food Web initiative and co-authored the Food and Farm Business Chapter for Iowa Food System Coalition's "Setting the Table for All Iowans" plan. His work demonstrates effective multi-county collaboration and policy development for food security and agricultural sustainability.

Bob coordinates Traction Thursdays, supporting Fairfield entrepreneurs, and has led Fairfield's participation in the Intelligent Community Forum competition since 2023. As a Senior Fellow of Global Urban Design, he brings international perspectives to local development work.
